What is Glendale?

A family farm for six generations, Glendale is home for the Warriner-Burke-Azevedo family and many more through family connections and ties.
Our Mission
Full of glens and dales, we hope to share our journey of new beginnings and old discoveries through a telling of our projects and progress.
Our History
Glendale is not a fancy estate and has been many things, but primarily a multi-purpose farm. In the 20th century, Brendan’s grandfather used horses and mules to plow fields and grow tobacco, corn, and hay. He and his family raised livestock (cows, sheep, chicken, and pigs) and started a family. Following WWII, in the 1940s, the family purchased a new tractor and truck (still here), sold cream, and grew tobacco. In 1980, Brendan’s mom and aunt converted the all-purpose farm to pine. Thirty years later, the tall crop was timbered, leaving an open landscape, scarred by stumps. In fall 2019, Brendan and Lilli moved to the farm and together, started a new chapter.

Glendale Farm Products today
Glendale Farm Products expanded in 2024 from Brendan’s family farm (Glendale) to Haw Branch. We began raising sheep with a small flock of Katahdin ewes at the end of 2024 and added Belted Galloways in 2026.
